I am a passionate and ambitious student with a strong desire to pursue a career in the film industry. My interest in film began in childhood, but it was only more recently that I realised it is a field I would genuinely enjoy working in. The growing presence of the film industry in my local area has further inspired me, with the development of the brand-new Shinfield Studios and the nearby Winnersh Studios, just five minutes from my home.
These studios have hosted major productions such as Argylle at Winnersh, The Acolyte at Shinfield, and Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire, which utilised both facilities.
I was fortunate to have the opportunity to interview the studio manager for Ghostbusters at Winnersh, where I gained valuable insights into how to ignite my career in the industry. This experience has fuelled my passion even further, and I am eager to develop my skills and contribute to the exciting world of filmmaking.
I enjoy using TikTok as an informal way to express my creativity and passion for film. Through short-form content, I experiment with different visual techniques, editing styles, and trends to engage with an online audience. This platform allows me to explore filmmaking in a fun and relaxed way, complementing my formal studies while developing my confidence in creating engaging visual content.
Films
My passion for filmmaking has grown through a variety of opportunities that have come my way. Whether it was taking part in the National Saturday Club at Reading College or leading a group project for my Duke of Edinburgh Award, these experiences have allowed me to explore different aspects of film production.
Each project has provided valuable insights into directing, filming, and editing, helping me develop my skills and further my interest in pursuing a career in the industry.

Title: DofE: A Mockumentary
Description:
This mockumentary was an idea I suggested for our group project based on the Duke of Edinburgh (DofE) Award. I took on the responsibility of directing, filming, and editing the entire piece, which allowed me to explore different aspects of the filmmaking process. The project was a great opportunity to develop my skills and bring a light-hearted perspective to the DofE experience, inspired by classic mockumentary styles.
Runtime: 6 minutes 15 seconds
Title: PROWL
Description:
This short film was my first experience in filmmaking, created while attending the National Saturday Club at Reading College. The project was a collaborative effort, with everyone in the group taking on different roles equally, supported by our teacher. Working together in this way helped me gain a better understanding of various aspects of the filmmaking process, from planning to final production.
A highlight of this experience was having our film showcased at Somerset House in London, which was a proud moment for everyone involved. It was an inspiring opportunity to see our work presented in a professional setting.
Runtime: 1 minute 35 seconds
Script
During my A Level Film Studies course, I had my first experience with scriptwriting, which I found both challenging and enjoyable. This project allowed me to explore the creative process of developing a story, structuring scenes, and bringing characters to life through dialogue. Writing this script gave me a deeper appreciation for storytelling in film and helped me develop essential skills in planning and narrative development.
Title: The Stone We Shared
Note: The completed version of the film that is based on this script has been submitted for A Level grading, and can be seen here.
The story follows Jake as he navigates the grief of losing his best friend, Callum, through a heartfelt funeral service and a series of poignant flashbacks to their childhood adventures. As Jake reflects on their shared memories, a symbolic stone connects the past and present, helping him find comfort. Years later, a visit to the same beach with his own son brings a sense of closure and continuity to their friendship.
This is the second draft, and will be finished before the end of this academic year.
Photography
I have always enjoyed photography and took it up as a way to build my knowledge and skills for a future career in the creative industry. Exploring different styles and techniques has allowed me to develop a deeper understanding of visual storytelling and composition.
I found documentary photography to be particularly engaging, as it provided an opportunity to capture real-life moments and tell compelling stories through imagery. This experience has helped me refine my attention to detail and understand the power of visuals in conveying emotion and meaning.

Work Experience
My work experience is outlined in detail within my personal statement, so I will avoid repeating it here. However, one particular highlight was the opportunity to act as a runner on the reveal video for Adrian Newey’s RB17. As someone with a passion for cars, and Formula 1 in particular, this was an incredibly exciting experience. The final video was shared across various Oracle Red Bull Racing social media accounts, reaching over 20 million followers worldwide.
